Community and social justice activists use Systemic Constellations to explore larger forces
Family and Systemic Constellations are drawing the attention of community and social justice activists who are seeking new tools to address genuine systemic change within a variety of settings.
With the systemic lens, we learn that the stories of today’s headlines and controversies are, in fact, clouded with the historic facts of slavery, ethnic cleansing, discrimination, oppression and exclusion.
In the community setting, the “client” is the community or group that has been impacted by one or more wider historic forces. Practitioners of Systemic Constellations interview the clients and research the groups to gain historical knowledge that relate to troubles within the current system.
Finally, the facilitator, with the help of the group, works to discover what has been forgotten or not acknowledged so that change can take place, both within the community and for a person’s individual healing.
