Returning Home: Constellations to Connect Our African Ancestral Wisdom
Anne Sexton Bryan For the last 40 years, I’ve followed my soul’s calling to heal myself and my family, all while living an adventurous life. East Africa first called to me in 1990 for work. I felt mysteriously comforted by this new place, as if I had come home. A few years later, I was asked to run a large safari operation in East and Southern Africa, which I did for nearly a decade. When I left that job, what followed was very unexpected. A four year personal energy healing journey at The Barbara Brennan School of Healing unfolded, and culminated in my thesis project to bring twelve healers to the Cradle of Humanity in Tanzania. In 2008, we embarked on “Returning Home: A Healing Journey to Africa.” During sacred ceremonies in the Serengeti and Cradle of Humanity of Ngorongoro Crater, we brought forth hundreds of intentions from people around the world to heal our families and humanity. Three years of Constellation training with Jamy and Peter Faust soon followed and took me to new depths of healing in my family and soul, and my renewed connection to the Great Mother energy of Africa. My World Work in personal and group constellations and workshops, on behalf of my family and humanity, continues to inspire healing in concert with the Great Mother energy to help grow a new consciousness of peace and love in our world. |
5 Elements Constellations: Turn on Your Love Light
John Cheney and Cilla Utne John Cheney began his exploration of Family Constellations in 1999. His first teacher was Dietrich Weth whom he studied with for 7 years. He studied with a variety of systemic constellation teachers including Sneh Victoria Schnabel, Johannes Schmidt, Albrecht Mahr, Stephan Hausner, Anngwyn St Just, and Francesca Mason Boring. In 2006, John began his journey integrating Family Systems Constellations with the 5 Elements of Chinese Medicine. The 5 Elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood) have been used for thousands of years as way to gain insight into the subtle expressions of balance and imbalance within the human body, Family, home, nature, and business. After setting up several blind constellations John was surprised to see the imbalance express itself through the representatives so clearly. Not unlike the representatives in a Family of origin constellations. He has experimented with acupressure/acupuncture, acutonics, bodywork and EFT, during the constellation as a resource. Also working with yoga, and Tai chi between constellations. 5 Element constellations generally focus on health issues but are effective with interrupted reaching out, physical trauma, early developmental trauma, epigenetic trauma systemic Family issues, emotional regulatory issues, and seasonal affective disorder to name a few. Chinese medicine is essentially based on what might be called an emotional regulatory system. In Chinese medicine they stimulate channels (or meridians) with needles to rewire the individuals system in order to promote harmony or balance. John has found this tool to be helpful in developing new insights into emotional and physiological patterns, insights on how nature impacts or nourishes us, and a great mirror (from the representatives) on how we treat ourselves and how we treat others. John was a contributing author to the ground breaking book, Returning to Membership in Earth Community, a book focused on system constellations with nature |

Listening to the Voices of Nature: A Constellation for These Times
Susan Schlosser I took my first breath in the “gathering place by the waters” as the original peoples of southeastern Wisconsin referred to it, and curiously enough, that’s how I grew up…gathering by the water. As life would have it, I’m still doing that. I’ve gathered education and experiences along the way. I’ve had many adventures and found multiple ways to be of service. I have worked to resuscitate hearts and lives as an ICU nurse, or aid others as they transitioned in death as a hospice nurse. I ran a wellness program to support holistic health. I hiked the Oregon Coast Range documenting how the logging was affecting the song birds. I worked for a river rafting company in the Grand Canyon. I got a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science and have been in private practice working with individuals and relationships for 26 years. I consider finding Systemic Constellation work an answer to a deep prayer. That happened in 2002. The fundamental principles of the work infiltrate how I look at life and now shape all the work I do, whether that be in one on one constellations or when I’m facilitating groups. Ten years ago I followed a strong call and began facilitating Nature constellations, indoors and out in the wilds. I have had the great honor of facilitating those among the Redwood trees, on Mount Shasta, in the Grand Canyon, at Chaco Canyon, at the ocean, along rivers in the US and in British Columbia, in Germany, and in the iMfolzi Wilderness of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. I bow deeply to the inherent wisdom that nature has offered us as we take our right place in the earth community. And I bow deeply to Bert, Francesca and my teachers of all forms. |

lluminating Key Elements for Collective/Societal Constellations. to then Shine our Soul Lights Through a Constellation Experience
Judy Wallace Exploring the deeper knowing of who we are as humans - across historical, cultural, ancestral and soul lineages - has always been a passion. In 2006, after completing a Masters in Conscious Evolution with an emphasis on Collective Intelligence, I was drawn to tap our evolving deeper collective sensing and knowing through experiential group discovery to activate our collective healing potential. This is the focus of my work now. We live in lifechanging times. Generations of pain and collective trauma are imbedded in our DNA. Social/Collective Healing Constellations stimulate and open awareness of these deeply seeded cultural and ancestral patterns that are explosively expressing across the world today – as if they have been hidden and unexpressed far too long. As they rise to the surface, we see that old ways of being are wanting to die. How might we understand more about what is wanting to be born? First, let’s spark healing across generations, beyond silence, fear and inherited suffering, misuse and abuse of power, and collective trauma. Through Collective Healing Constellations, we ask, “How might the larger ‘social field’ inform our trajectory now in these catalytic times”? While truly valuing Family Systemic Constellations, my soul calls me to shine light on the larger societal/collective context. I have offered these constellations locally in Boulder and Ft Collins, CO and retreats in Boston and Florida. I hosted a workshop at the NASC 2017 conference. I am honored we gather again in 2020, as in these times, we inquire more deeply as to what wants to be seen, acknowledged, and healed NOW – lighting our path forward into the new future being born.
